Terms and Conditions for Travel to a Football Tournament with Swieqi United FC
These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) outline the rules, responsibilities, and guidelines for individuals (“Participants”) traveling to a football tournament (the “Tournament”) organised by Swieqi United FC (the “Club”). By agreeing to participate, all Participants agree to abide by the terms set forth below:
1. Eligibility
1.1 All Participants must be either players, coaching staff, or officially registered with Swieqi United FC for the purpose of the Tournament.
1.2 For participants under 18, parental or legal guardian consent is mandatory, and a responsible adult must accompany minors.
2. Registration and Payment
2.1 All Participants are required to complete the registration process through official Club channels by the specified deadline.
2.2 Full payment for travel, accommodation, and tournament-related fees must be made by the payment deadline. Late payments may result in cancellation of participation without refund.
2.3 The Club reserves the right to adjust fees in case of unforeseen costs. Participants will be informed of any changes promptly.
3. Travel Arrangements
3.1 Travel arrangements (including flights, buses, and transfers) will be coordinated by Swieqi United FC or authorized travel partners. Participants agree to follow the travel schedule provided.
3.2 Participants must have all necessary travel documents (valid passport, visas, etc.) and are responsible for ensuring these documents are current and valid.
3.3 Swieqi United FC will not be responsible for missed flights or transport connections caused by Participant delays or failure to follow provided schedules. Additional costs due to such delays will be borne by the Participant.
4. Accommodation
4.1 The Club will arrange accommodation at an official Tournament hotel or other designated lodging, and Participants are required to stay in these accommodations.
4.2 Room assignments will be arranged by the Club, and any room changes or special accommodation requests must be communicated in advance.
4.3 Participants are expected to behave responsibly and respect property and staff at all accommodation facilities. Any damage caused by a Participant may result in personal liability for repairs or replacement.
5. Conduct and Behaviour
5.1 Participants must represent Swieqi United FC with professionalism and respect both on and off the field. This includes complying with local laws, Tournament rules, and Club policies.
5.2 Any behaviour deemed inappropriate, including but not limited to, physical or verbal abuse, harassment, or violence, may result in disciplinary actions by the Club, including removal from the Tournament without a refund.
5.3 Consumption of alcohol or illicit substances is strictly prohibited during official Tournament activities or travel unless explicitly authorised by Club officials.
6. Health and Safety
6.1 Participants are responsible for their own health and fitness to participate in the Tournament. Any pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed to the Club in advance.
6.2 Swieqi United FC will take reasonable measures to ensure the safety and well-being of Participants but cannot be held liable for personal injuries, accidents, or illnesses occurring during travel or at the Tournament.
6.3 It is the responsibility of each Participant to obtain adequate travel and health insurance for the duration of the Tournament, covering injuries, illness, and emergencies.
7. Liability Waiver
7.1 Swieqi United FC will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen property, injury, or death during the trip to the Tournament.
7.2 The Club will not be liable for any disruptions to travel or accommodation caused by factors beyond its control, such as weather, strikes, or government restrictions.
7.3 Participants release the Club from all liability for any claims arising out of participation in the Tournament, except in cases of gross negligence by the Club.
8. Cancellation and Refunds
8.1 Any cancellation requests must be made in writing and will be subject to the following conditions:
– Cancellations made more than 30 days before departure: 75% refund
– Cancellations made 15-30 days before departure: 50% refund
– Cancellations made less than 15 days before departure: No refund
8.2 Swieqi United FC reserves the right to cancel the trip or a Participant’s registration due to unforeseen circumstances (such as insufficient registration numbers, health/safety concerns, or travel restrictions). In such cases, refunds or credits will be offered at the Club’s discretion.
9. Media and Marketing Consent
9.1 Participants grant permission for Swieqi United FC to use photos, videos, and other media taken during the Tournament for marketing and promotional purposes.
9.2 If a Participant does not wish to be included in such media, they must inform the Club in writing prior to the trip.
10. Personal Data and Privacy
10.1 The Club will collect and store personal information of Participants (such as names, contact details, medical information, etc.) solely for the purpose of organising the Tournament.
10.2 Swieqi United FC will protect this information in compliance with data protection laws and will not share it with third parties without consent, except as necessary for travel arrangements or in emergencies.
11. Force Majeure
11.1 Swieqi United FC will not be liable for any delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, strikes, or government regulations.
11.2 In such cases, Swieqi United FC will make all reasonable efforts to rearrange or reschedule the trip, but no guarantees can be made for refunds or alternative arrangements.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malta. 12.2 Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Maltese courts.
By registering and participating in the Tournament, all Participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
