10.09.15 Swieqi United F.C. Women's Team aim for promotion

Despite having been founded just a few years ago, Swieqi United F.C. can be already classified as one of the most modernised and organised clubs on the island. The passion and commitment towards the women’s team is well shown by their Coaches Jochen Lenders and Max Bartolo and captain and vice-captain Daniela Casha and Stephanie Mamo.

Jochen Lenders and Max Bartolo clearly stated that the main aim of Swieqi United F.C. Women's Team is to be promoted. Everyone is positive and determined and they intend to build on the success of their first season. The coaches feel that the support they receive is an important factor for their growth and development. The women's squad has a dedicated team manager, team co-ordinator, fitness coach, goalkeeper's coach and physiotherapist. Apart from this, all coaching staff within the club work together towards a common goal.

Captain and vice-captain Daniela Casha and Stephanie Mamo respectively stated that being part of such an organised setup gives them the confidence that is needed. The club is truly behind the team and most importantly it believes in its future. This setup is the main reason behind the success story of the Swieqi women's team first year in the league. The club, the committee and the whole setup for the women's team was solid from the start with a vision that went beyond anyone's expectations.

Daniela Casha and Stephanie Mamo continued by highlighting that it was a great achievement to place 2nd last season. They stated that they will build on this sucess and try to achieve promotion.
